Make your own chocolate and coffee body scrub

Make your own chocolate and coffee body scrub

Chocolate and coffee, two ingredients that go hand in hand, and two ingredients that most people love to eat and drink. So what if I told you, you could literally rub chocolate and coffee all over your body and it actually will benefit your skin? Now don’t go warming up that block of chocolate you have in the cupboard and smothering yourself in it (although that would be ahhhmazing!!!)

Below are two of my favourite scrubs that will have your skin smelling, and also looking amazing. And hey best part is NO CALORIES!!

Let’s start off with my favourite chocolate scrub, cos everything is better with chocolate. This is all you will need, and it uses my favourite ingredient coconut oil!!

Chocolate Body Scrub

Cocoa chocolate scrub

Ingredients

1 cup coconut oil
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup cocoa powder
4 jars (for storage)

Method

It’s as easy as mixing all these ingredients together in a large bowl.

Bottling it all up in old jars or even containers you may have.

It’s a scrub you can use on a weekly basis, or a daily if that’s how you roll.

Caution: It is highly addictive! And so, so easy to make.

You can even package it up nice and give it to your friends as gifts. But only if you can part with it, because no one really likes to part with chocolate do they.

Best part is it can last for about 6 months, if you find that it separates a little just give it a little stir and it will be back to normal.

Coffee Body Scub

Coffee scrub

This is my favourite coffee scrub. The exciting part about this scrub is that the caffeine in coffee can actually help reduce the appearance of cellulite and again it uses coconut oil helps to hydrate the skin. So say goodbye to Cellulite Sally, and hello to refreshed looking skin.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup coconut oil
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup fresh coffee grounds
  • 2 to 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 to 5 jars (for storage)

Method

In a medium size bowl, combine the coconut oil, sugar, coffee grounds, olive oil and mix well.

Add the scrub to your old jars or containers.

These recipes aren’t gospel, you can change it up to suit whatever mood you are in.

Maybe you just want a simple sugar scrub, so just remove the coffee or the cocoa powder from either recipe and there you go.

The best part about these scrubs are they are so adaptable, you can add in some essential oils, you can use all the many different types of oils there are out there instead of the coconut oil.

They are cheap, simple and most importantly good for your skin.

What’s more fun than whipping up your own body scrub, you know what’s in it, it’s natural, it’s cheap and most importantly it will last you ages!!!
